This medieval heritage tour includes the visit to the most popular sites in central and western states of India ending in the glittering and bustling city of Mumbai.

Day 01: Delhi
Arrive Delhi. Transfer to your hotel

Day 02: Delhi
Full day tour of new & old Delhi including Laxmi Narayan Temple, India Gate, Jama Masjid, Red Fort & Raj Ghat.

Day 03: Delhi - Varanasi
Morning, fly to to Varanasi, the mind soothing destination. Afternoon, take an excursion to Buddhist town of Sarnath, where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon after enlightenment.

Taj Mahal complexDay 04: Varanasi - Agra
Boat ride on River Ganges, followed by a city tour covering Alamgir Mosque or Beni Madhav Ka Darera, Dasaswamedha Ghat, Benares Hindu University and The Bharat Mata Temple.
Afternoon, fly to Agra. Visit Red fort, Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula's.

Day 05: Agra - Khajuraho
Morning, visit Taj Mahal and drive to the airport for flight to Khajuraho. Afternoon, proceed on the city tour covering western/eastern group of Temples. The temples at Khajuraho are a unique gift to the world.

Day 06: Khajuraho - Orchha - Gwalior
Drive to Orchha, medieval legacy in stone. Visit Jehangir Mahal, Raj Mahal, Chaturbhuj Temple and drive to Gwalior.

Day 07: Gwalior - Shivpuri
Visit the magnificent Gwalior Fort which houses a marvellous Palace, Man Mandir Palace, Sas Bahu Ka Mandir, Suraj Kund etc;. Also visit the tombs of Tansen and Ghias Mohammed, the Museum in Jai Vilas Palace and the newly built Sun temple located on the outskirts and dedicated to Sun God. Drive to Shivpuri.

Day 08: Shivpuri
Visit elegant Chatris or cenotaphs of Shivpuri. Also visit Bhadaiya Kund, a scenic spot noted for its natural mineral spring. Afternoon, visit to Madhav National Park.

Day 09: Shivpuri - Ujjain
Drive to Ujjain. Rest of the day is free.

Day 10: Ujjain
Visit this renowned pilgrim centre including Mahakaleshwar Temple which enshrines one of the 12 Jyotirlingams, Bada Ganeshji Ka Mandir. Also visit Kaliadeh Palace.

Day 11: Ujjain - Mandu
Depart for Indore and visit Kanch Mandir - a Jain temple. Visit the Ujjain Museum which has one of the best collections of medieval and pre-medieval Hindu Sculpture in Madhya Pradesh. Afternoon, drive to Mandu.

Day 12: Mandu
Mandu, the city of Joy, is full of legends of love and glory, specially those of Baz Bahadur and the beautiful Roopmati. Visit several noteworthy palaces and pavilions some of which are Ashrafi Mahal- the Palace of gold coins, Rewa Kund Group and Hindola Mahal (swinging Palace).

Day 13: Mandu - Bhopal
Drive to Bhopal with stop in Indore.

Day 14: Bhopal - Sanchi - Bhopal
Excursion to Sanchi, the ancient seat of Buddhist learning. Visit the archeological museum, the Great Stupa, Taj-ul-Masjid, Laxmi Narayan Temple and Birla Museum. Taj-ul-Masjid is one of the largest mosques in India.

Day 15: Bhopal - Panchmarhi
Drive to Panchmarhi visiting Bhimbetka en route. Paintings in over 500 caves in Bhimbetka depict the life of the pre-historic dwellers in vivid, panoramic detail.

Day 16: Panchmarhi
Panchmarhi, a lovely hill station in Madhya Pradesh surrounded by beautiful forests, full of breathtaking waterfalls, serene pools and quiet glades. Late afternoon, excursion to Dhupgarh for sunset view which is the highest point in the Satpura hills.

Day 17: Panchmarhi - Jabalpur
Leave for Jabalpur, a big city in Madhya Pradesh by road passing through India’s agricultural heartland. Afternoon, visit Sadar bazaar and take a boat ride in Marble Rocks, a natural maze on the Narmada river.

Day 18: Jabalpur - Mumbai
Transfer to the railway station and depart for overnight train journey to Mumbai.

Arrive Mumbai, the cosmopolitan city with the potpourri of cultures and glamour. Visit Colaba, Prince of Wales Museum, Mahalaxmi Temple & Tomb of Haji Ali. If time permits, visit Kalbadevi Bazaar and Chowpatty Beach, a famous beach that offers fun activities such pony rides, acrobatic performances, food and juice stalls etc; together with a wonderful view of the coast.

Day 20: Mumbai - Departure
